For many, this is the prettiest Brompton folding bike, and it is the lightest. The grips are lower and further forward than on the M Type, giving a sporty riding position which complements the positive feel of these bikes.

The key S Type is the S2L - Brompton's derailleur system turns a single-speed into a nimble 2-speed bike without the weight of a gear hub; the result is a light bike that can handle most journeys.

Weight: 20 – 28 lbs, depending on configuration.

Folded dimensions: 11" wide x 22" long x 23" high.

Important Note

The price on this page is the base price for the steel frame S2L. Three more configuration options are required to purchase this bike. You must still choose an option from each of these three categories:

Gearing
Racks/Mudguards
Color/Frame

When choosing a color for the steel frame, you may choose different or the same colors for the main frame and extremities. You may also choose one color from the Superlight color category. The Superlight option, however, upgrades the frame with titanium parts and adds to the price accordingly.
