The distinctive U-shape of the M Type's handlebars has been used on the Brompton folding bike since the outset: it gives a fairly upright ride with excellent control. The M Type is the all-rounder in our range and remains the most popular Brompton, as much at home in the city as on a country lane, and with plenty of room for luggage at the front.

The key M Type is the M3L - it is the classic Brompton, featuring Sturmey Archer's reliable 3-speed hub and all the fundamental advantages of the Brompton design.

Weight: 20 – 28 lbs, depending on configuration.

Folded dimensions: 11" wide x 22" long x 23" high.

Important Note

The price on this page is the base price for the steel frame M3L. Three more configuration options are required to purchase this bike. You must still choose an option from each of these three categories:

• Gearing
• Racks/Mudguards
• Color/Frame
  

When choosing a color for the steel frame, you may choose different or the same colors for the main frame and extremities. You may also choose one color from the Superlight color category. The Superlight option, however, upgrades the frame with titanium parts and adds to the price accordingly.
